Terms & Conditions
Last updated: October 25, 2026
These Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of Adminmate, including the website adminmate.io, the web application available at app.adminmate.io, the documentation and the Data API packages (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Who we are
The Service is operated by CROK, a SAS (simplified joint-stock company) registered with the RCS Paris 131 294 829, whose registered office is located at 14 rue Charles V, 75004 Paris, France (VAT number FR91131294829) — referred to as “Adminmate”, “we”, “us” or “our”. You can reach us at [email protected].
2. Definitions
- Account: the account you create to access the Dashboard.
- Dashboard: the back-office interface hosted by us, from which you and your team browse and manage your data.
- Data API: the software component you install and run on your own infrastructure, which connects your database to the Dashboard.
- Customer Data: the data stored in your databases and made available through your Data API.
- Project: a back-office configured in your Account and linked to one or more Data API environments.
- Members: the people you invite to join your Projects and teams.
3. Eligibility
The Service is intended for professional use. By using it, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and, where you use the Service on behalf of a company or another organization, that you are authorized to bind it to these Terms. In that case, “you” refers to that organization.
4. The Service
Adminmate lets you build a back-office on top of your own database. The Service is made of two parts: the Dashboard, hosted by us, and the Data API, deployed and operated by you. Customer Data stays in your database and reading it requires the master password stored on your server. We do not store the content of your database.
The Service is currently provided free of charge. If we ever introduce paid features or plans, we will inform you in advance and you will never be charged without your explicit agreement.
We continuously improve the Service and may add, change or remove features. When a change materially reduces the functionality you rely on, we will try to give you reasonable notice.
5. Your Account
You must provide accurate information when creating your Account and keep it up to date. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your Account and in your Projects, including the activity of the Members you invite. Notify us without delay at [email protected] if you suspect any unauthorized access.
Your Data API master password is never sent to or stored by us. If you lose it, we cannot recover it for you.
6. Your responsibilities
Because the Data API runs on your infrastructure, you are responsible for:
- installing, configuring, securing and updating your Data API and the servers it runs on;
- choosing strong authentication keys and passwords, and restricting access (for example with IP filtering);
- backing up your databases — actions performed through the Dashboard are executed on your data;
- the code you write for segments, custom actions and charts, and its effects on your data;
- the permissions you grant to your teams and Members;
- making sure that your use of Customer Data, including any personal data it contains, complies with applicable laws, in particular data protection laws.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to process data you have no right to process;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, to other users’ Accounts or Projects, or to the systems connected to them;
- interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service, including through excessive automated requests;
- reverse engineer, copy, resell or provide the Dashboard to third parties as a competing service, except where such restriction is prohibited by law;
- upload or transmit malware or any other harmful code.
8. Customer Data and data protection
You keep all rights to your Customer Data. We do not claim any ownership over it and we do not access the content of your databases.
To provide some features — such as teams, permissions, the activity log and comments — the Dashboard stores information about your Members and the actions they perform. When this information includes personal data, you act as the data controller and we act as your data processor within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). In that capacity, we undertake to:
- process personal data only on your documented instructions, which are these Terms and your use of the Service;
- ensure that the people authorized to process it are bound by confidentiality;
- implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures;
- only engage sub-processors offering sufficient guarantees, as listed in our Privacy Policy;
- assist you in responding to data subject requests and in meeting your security obligations;
- notify you without undue delay after becoming aware of a personal data breach;
- delete the personal data at the end of the Service, unless the law requires us to keep it;
- make available the information necessary to demonstrate compliance with these obligations.
How we process personal data as a data controller (for example, your Account information) is described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Intellectual property
The Service, including the Dashboard, its design, code, logos and the Adminmate brand, is our property or that of our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to use the Service for your internal business purposes.
The Data API packages may be distributed under an open-source license. Where this is the case, that license governs your use of those packages.
If you send us feedback or suggestions, you allow us to use them freely to improve the Service, without any obligation towards you.
10. Third-party services
The Service relies on, and may link to, third-party services (such as your hosting provider, your database or open-source libraries). We are not responsible for those services, which are governed by their own terms.
11. Availability and support
We do our best to keep the Service available and secure, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Maintenance, updates or events beyond our control may cause interruptions. The current status of the Service is published on our status page.
Support is provided on a best-effort basis through the live chat on our website and by email at [email protected].
12. Disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential damages, including loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill or data, arising out of or in connection with the Service. In particular, we are not liable for any loss or alteration of Customer Data resulting from actions performed through the Dashboard, from the code you write, or from the configuration and security of your own infrastructure.
Our total liability arising out of or relating to these Terms shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us for the Service during the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim and (b) one hundred euros (€100).
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify us against any claim brought by a third party arising from your Customer Data, your breach of these Terms or your violation of applicable laws.
15. Suspension and termination
You can stop using the Service and delete your Account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice depending on the severity, if you breach these Terms or if your use of the Service creates a risk for us, for other users or for third parties.
We may also decide to discontinue the Service. In that case, we will give you at least 30 days’ notice so that you can make other arrangements. Since Customer Data stays in your database, discontinuing the Service never deletes it.
Upon termination, the data stored in your Account is deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including sections 9, 12, 13, 14 and 17.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is material, we will notify you by email or in the Dashboard at least 15 days before it takes effect. By continuing to use the Service after that date, you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree with them, you can delete your Account.
17. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by French law. In case of a dispute, we encourage you to contact us first so that we can try to find an amicable solution. Failing that, and subject to any mandatory provisions protecting you, any dispute shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Paris, France.
18. Miscellaneous
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, form the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service. If any provision is held invalid, the remaining provisions remain in full force. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of that right. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our prior consent; we may transfer ours in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
